We have our test plugins and Flash 10.1b3 running out-of-process on Mac OS X! Hopefully we’ll be able to make this work available in mozilla-central nightly builds within the next week or two. I’ll post another update when things are further along.

Great work!
Wow, that seemed fast!
10.6 only?
Great job! Two (small) questions:
1) With the new plugin arch for OOPP, will Flash 10.1 be hardware accelerated (CoreAnimation)?
2) Will this work on 10.5 ?
We really don’t have more answers about OS support or hardware acceleration right now, I’ll probably say more in a couple of weeks.
Every Builder is trying to put together a 64bit Build.
I’m currently using a 32bit Intel Build by Criss Latko.
I run OS X 10.6.3 so I could care less about back end support.
I know the Nightly Builds of Minefield have a long way to go
before there are stable. But if they were 64bit with plugins
I could live with it!!!

P.S. GREAT WORK!!!
@Dan
Funny thing is, I cannot build Electrolysis 32-bit, nanojit blows up. I can only do 64-bit builds. I can probably just disable nanojit to get 32-bit going, but will watch the tree for any changes.
Nice. When OOPP arrived for Windows and Linux it sounded like the Mac version would be far, far behind. This has happened much quicker than I expected!
Hi,
I’m running the newest Minefield nightly on OSX 10.6.4 on a late 2006 Core 2 Duo Macbook.
I can’t seem to get flash 10.1 or the 10.2 betas to run Out of Process, yet with the same Firefox build and the same OSX version on my mac at work. Flash runs Out of Process, without any problem.
The 1st thing I tried was with a fresh profile, same result.
This is the build I have:
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0b8pre) Gecko/20101102 Firefox/4.0b8pre
The only difference is that the mac at work is a fresh 10.6 install. Where as my mac laptop has been upgraded over the years from 10.4 to 10.5, to 10.6.
I found the bugzilla report where Firefox only enables OOPP for 10.6. Maybe for some unknown reason Firefox can’t detect the version or is misdetecting it as running 10.4 or 10.5 and therefore doesn’t enable OOPP.
Everything else works fine, so I don’t see a re-install being required.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
