On Wednesday Sara stood in line for 2 hours to get us tickets to the Shout Out Louds at the Rickshaw Stop in downtown SF. The show was really awesome, they played “The Comeback” (their best song?) and a cover of “Train in Vain” by The Clash. We did a lot of dancing and got all gross and sweaty. If you haven’t heard the Shout Out Louds before, it’s like a cross between Weezer and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. It’s somewhat annoying to describe bands like that but whatever.

I’ve listened to “The Comeback” about 10 times today since I bought their album “Howl Howl Gaff Gaff” this morning. The whole album is good, but I keep coming back to that song. I’ve been packing all day for my trip to Denmark tonight and I need to dance around a little.

A lot of exciting things have happened with Gecko 1.9 on Mac OS X lately. Here is a list of major changes that will make it into the next alpha release…

• Context menus are far less buggy. We have checked in fixes for almost every serious context menu bug.
• Many fixes to the clipboard and drag services. We now support promised file dragging. Clipboard and drag operations in Places work much better.
• Support for Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) has been removed. Gecko 1.9 will no longer build or run on Mac OS X 10.3.
• PPC builds are created with gcc 4.0 instead of gcc 3.3.
• We have better support for DWARF 2 debugging.
• Several other stability, security, and general bug fixes.

For the 4th of July my friend Sara and I climbed up tank hill in San Francisco and drank 40s while watching the Fireworks. Pretty perfect way to go about watching fireworks I think. We heard that sometimes fog prevents people from seeing the bay from tank hill, luckily it was totally clear. After my 40 I kept saying “Firefox” when I meant to say “fireworks,” I am such a dork sometimes!
