Boom Swagger Boom

For the love of God, life, goats, or vegan cheeze whiz, whatever… DO NOT PASTE MASSIVE STACK TRACES FROM CRASHES INTO BUGZILLA COMMENTS. See this bug for an example of what not to do. That is so irritating it makes me cringe just thinking about it.

Neil Paris says:

Why post one, when you can post seven?

Martijn says:

That is why Mozilla uses the Talkback-software ;-)

Ludovic says:

The real thing to do is attach it to the bug.

Bram! says:

You could try and educate people.
But how about adding a filter to the bugzilla commenting system that automatically detects long posts things like stack-traces and suggest adding part of the comment as attachment?

dougt says:

well, no stack trace for a crash is always worse than it being pasted into a bug. :-)

But since older talkbacks are deleted it is necessary to post these in the bug. Perhaps Talkback should be modified to keep those referenced in bugzilla…
